Master Captain (certified by the United States Coast Guard) Eric Ludovico Peter Puleio, at your service. Sailing is in my blood. I began sailing while in the womb of my mother and haven’t stopped since. The smiles I’ve witnessed while taking my friends sailing on my first sailboat have inspired me to quit Corporate America, buy and restore a classic sailboat, and sail for a living. I hope to share my passion of sailing with you in 2019, which marks my 8th professional sailing season.
My sailing, name the "Genesis" after the sailboat my mother and father lived on during the first six years of their marriage, is a proven world circumnavigtor. You’ll always be comfortable aboard the Genesis - she’s a beautiful classic yacht with a full keel, making her much more stable than boats her size. I only take up to six people out sailing at time and there’s plenty of room aboard the spacious sailboat. I encourage you to go anywhere on the boat; I want you to explore! Take the helm, help trim the sails, or just sit back and relax. Truly, mi velero es su velero! Lastly, I want everyone to be comfortable so I have pillows and blankets for everyone aboard.
For a private four hour charter for up to six passengers, I charge 920 Euros. I'm limited to taking 6 customers sailing at a time, per Coast Guard regulations, so I am unable to charter a group of 7 or more). My charters come with picnic foods and beverages but it's bring your own alcohol.
For my four hour charters, I sail as close to the Statue of Liberty as permitted, around Governor’s Island via the Buttermilk Channel, up the East River underneath the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge (and to the Williamsburg Bridge if conditions are favorable), back down the East River to round Battery Park, and the finally head up the Hudson River back to Chelsea Piers. If you have a private charter with me, you can customize the route.
