With Whitehaven Beach – one of the world’s best beaches – on our doorstep, one might think that’s it for beautiful beaches in the Whitsundays. But Whitehaven is only just the start!
Throughout the islands you will find many pristine and secluded beaches just waiting for you to spend the day relaxing on the sand under a palm tree, or splashing in the crystal clear water. And the best part? All of the Whitsundays’ beaches are protected from swell by the surrounding islands and Great Barrier Reef, which means calm water great for swimmers of all abilities.
All of our vessels come with a 6 – 8 person tender to use for getting to and from your boat to the islands. At the start of your sailing holiday, our briefer will show you how to motor in and anchor safely at beaches, and how to measure tides.
Jumping off your own boat into the warm tropical waters is what dreams are made of and bareboating gives you that chance every day!
Because of the calm and protected waters, swimming off your boat is an easy and safe activity, permitting you have a good level of swimming and you always have your other crew keeping an eye on you. You do sometimes need to be mindful of tides, however your briefer will discuss all this with you before you head off on the great blue!
