12-day island cruise around Langkawi

Langkawi, Malaysia Island Hopping

With our yacht you will be able to cruise around magical Malaysia and the lslands there!

This is our recommended itinerary for this experience:

Day 1: Royal Langkawi Yacht Club – Pulau Timun
Depart from the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club and sail towards Pulau Timun.

Day 2: Pulau Timun – Pulau Paku
Anchor in the small bay on the sandy beach at Pulau Timun. Visitors often spot monkeys and wild pigs on this beach. Make your way to Pulau Paku on the eastern part of the island and explore even more natural wonders in the caves there.

Day 3: Pulau Paku – Pulau Gubang Darat
Spend the night off Pulau Gubang Darat near the island Dayang Bunting after a day excursion to the largest freshwater lake on Langkawi ‘The Lake of the Pregnant Maiden’, the centre of some very mysterious legends. After your short hike to the lake, through forests filled with curious monkeys, you’ll want to cool off in its refreshing waters.

Day 4: Pulau Gubang Darat – Pulau Payar
Pulau Payar is a heavenly marine park with a gorgeous coral reef. Snorkelers can meet fish of all kinds under these crystalline waters, and sunbathers can spend all day lounging on the endless sandy beaches.

Day 5: Pulau Payar – Pulau Singa Besar
Visit Pulau Singa Besar, a wildlife sanctuary where Mouse Deer, the smallest deer in the world, and wild pigs roam free.

Day 6: Pulau Singa Besar – Awana Porto Malay
Spend the morning on Singa Besar, then sail off to Awana Porto Malay, where you’ll spend the night in a small but stunning anchorage.

Day 7: Awana Porto Malay – Telaga
Awana Porto Malay is an easy sail to Telaga where the Perdana Quay Harbour Park features plenty of dining options and a walkable promenade.

Day 8: Telaga – Tanjung Rhu
Sail North to Tanjung Rhu, where you’ll find several gorgeous beaches and dramatic views of the surrounding islands. Anchorage is available at the Datai Hotel.

Day 9: Tanjung Rhu – Kilim River Geopark
The Kilim River Geopark almost feels like another planet, a breathtaking mixture of mangroves and mountains. Dine on fresh local fish at nearby restaurants, including the famous Fish Farm.

Day 10: Kilim River Geopark – Pulau Langgun
Pulau Langgun is a fabulous anchorage with classic Asian limestone islets that jut out of the water; you have to see them to believe them.

Day 11: Pulau Langgun – Pulau Bumbon
Pulau Bumbon will be your last anchorage, and it offers everything you could want in an uninhabited beachfront paradise.

Day 12: Pulau Bumbon – Royal Langkawi Yacht Club
Sail back to Royal Langkawi Yacht Club, where you’ll say farewell to magical Malaysia – until next time
