BoatAffairs Top 5 places to charter in the Pacific.

The Pacific Ocean is a vast region that is 630,000 times larger than the UK and contains over 25000 individual islands. The oceans name comes from the Portuguese ‘Mar Pacifico’ or ‘Peaceful Sea’.  The oceans vastness presents a logical challenge for sailing but the regions relative isolation from large population cents is also what helps preserve its natural beauty.

BoatAffair Asia Pacific is growing its portfolio of Pacific products but for the moment it focuses primarily on 4 ‘Ambassadors’ of the Pacific. These include French Polynesia, Fiji, Tonga and Samoa. Each of these regions presents the very best of what the Pacific has to offer future ocean borne visitors. Here is our list, in no particular order, of the top 5 places to charter in the Pacific.

Location 1. French Polynesia - A Pacific paradise with French charm

French Polynesia is still part of the French Republic, and the French way of life still very much lives on in this far off tropical paradise. The 120 islands that make up this Archipelago create a tropical paradise that is best explored by yachts. Once you set up anchor you will be able to explore the islands stunning volcanoes and rolling tropical hills that rise out majestically out of the Azul blue seas that surround them.

Locaton 3. Samoa - A cultural Gem

Samoa’s magic will linger long after you leave. The island remains largely untoucnhed by mass tourism, making it very  ideal for those seekung an authentic pacific expericen. Samoa has some absolutely stunning beaches and marine life - as does most of the pacific - but there is something else that lingers in the air here. From fiadia night with fire dancing to communiial feasts to the powerful choral singing that rings accross the islands on Sundays Samoa is an experience that can't be done justice by just words.

Location 4. Tonga - Eden in the Pacific

Tonga boasts an abundance of marine life, including a famous Tribe of humpback whales known as the 'Tonga Tribe'. It’s one of the few places in the world where you can swim with these giants, provided you’re accompanied by a local guide. BoatAffair collaborates with yachts and expert guides to ensure this unforgettable experience is safe and respectful to the whales.
