Originally from Ireland, Captain Ben is a very dedicated and highly competent person, who gained his sailing experience while cruising extensively throughout the Western Mediterranean, the Caribbean and the Bahamas. Ben has always been drawn to the sea and enjoyed sharing his passion with the others. Before running a variety of luxury charter yachts, he started as a dinghy sailing instructor, teaching children during the summer seasons in Ireland. Educated and well-rounded, in addition to his maritime professional certificates, Ben holds a bachelor’s degree in Business and Management, and dedicated his thesis to the role of sponsorship in the sailing industry. Ben’s communication skills are first rate, his ability to command the vessel makes guests feel safe and comfortable. Responsible, organised and attentive, he takes great pride in creating tailor-made cruising experience for each charter.
A creative and skilled chef, Cressida is a dedicated individual with extremely high standards who strives to be the best. With experience on board luxury sailing yachts and a Professional Diploma in Culinary Arts from the prestigious Ashburton Chefs Academy, she has a good understanding of how charters should run and the level of quality charter guests are looking for. Cressida enjoys creating internationally-inspired dishes from Mediterranean, Modern British, North American, Japanese and Caribbean cuisines. She keeps up with current trends, tailoring her menus to guests’ dietary requirements and preferences offering a rich selection of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free menu options as well as delicious seafood and various meat entreés. Sourcing local produce and organic ingredients wherever possible, Cressida wows her guests with fresh tortellini and pasta, BBQ fish, freshly-baked bread, pulled pork sandwiches with fries, vibrant fresh salads and exciting modern twists on dessert classics. She takes great pleasure in catering to her guests’ needs in order to provide the ultimate culinary experience on board.
