Lucas’s love for the ocean started at a young age, exploring the beautiful underwater world through scuba diving and snorkelling whenever possible. Later on in life he discovered sailing and little did he know that that spark would grow into a career and ultimately be a life changing moment for him.
A few family trips off the Southern UK coast was all that was needed for Lucas to pursue career opportunities in the world of sailing. A few months later, Lucas had quit his job and signed up to become a professional captain and sailing instructor.
An initial season of being a charter captain in Greece, quickly became “one more summer”, before he knew it 5 years had passed! During that time Lucas was lucky enough to call Greece his home and sailing his profession. A lifelong desire to visit Australia and Scuba Dive was calling and waiting to be fulfilled, so Lucas recently did just that! Even through the pandemic he was fortunate enough to call the Great Barrier Reef home for 3 months as he gained his SSI Divemaster qualifications and did something only a handful people during that time could experience.
Lucas is now based in Grenada, enjoying island life, sailing, diving and recently surfing when possible. He has been sailing around the Grenadines for approximately six months now on various vessels and is a relaxed skipper, keen to explore both on land and in the water all the lovely gems that SVG and Grenada have to offer.
Chef Lou will join this catamaran if a chef is requested. Being a local to the islands, 'mama lou', with over 10 years experience as a charter chef, offers guests a truly unique experience onboard with an abundance of knowledge about the islands and culture. Specialities include her famous rum cake, callalou soups, conch dishes and homemade pancakes to name a few!
