Marinos Ritsoudis was born in 1968 in Greece and has been a captain on-board a variety of superyachts in his career, remaining with the steadfast employment of only two private families, over this time. With vast experience cruising the Mediterranean, Florida waters and the Bahamas sea, you will no doubt be in capable hands with Marinos at the helm. Previous to superyachts, he served for 9 years as a naval officer in various managerial and commanding posts with the Hellenic Navy, which laid strong foundations for his exceptional leadership qualities and work ethics. He is professionally trained in such fields as Leadership, Human Resources Management, Advanced Navigational Systems, Foreign Relationships, Operational Planning and Geopolitics to name a few. This highly disciplined naval career has ingrained strong characteristics of personal responsibility and the absolute importance of client privacy and security in the approach to his work today.
Fluent in English, Marinos forges a vibrant, positive culture onboard by leading from the front, believing that high performance is intensely focused on team synergy. With his extensive experience as a superyacht captain plus some time spent in engineering roles, he has a competent array of first-class managerial and technical skills. You may even indulge in the delight of him personally striking up the BBQ on deck as a charter bonus after a successful day of fishing! Known to his friends as Tom Hanks due to his remarkable likeness to the famous American actor, Marinos has a fine sense of humour and is service oriented, always striving to deliver the most outstanding, memorable and extravagant guest experiences.
Yannis was born in Athens in 1978. He graduated from Le Monde Institute for Culinary Arts and went on to gain valuable experience as a Sous-chef in some of Athens's most prestigious restaurants, including Varoulko, Penteliko and Ekali Club. He specialises in Mediterranean cuisine, with fish and shellfish dishes being his favourite parts. He is hard-working, efficient and creative and silently creates miracles inside the yacht's galley.
Christos was born in Athens in 1986. He holds an A 'class Engineer Diploma and has been involved with the yachting industry since 2005. He is a great team player, with a friendly and inviting personality and always strives to improve his knowledge. He is the coffee specialist on the boat, as well as taking care of the on-board technology. He speaks English.
Born in 1988, Lilly is highly experienced as a charter and private stewardess that has worked solo as well as part of an interior team of up to 10 on yachts ranging from 30 to 65m. She comes from a strong hospitality background having experience and skills in all areas of the industry, from front of house, cocktail and coffee making, to silver-service, child care, bartending and housekeeping. She is an excellent communicator, with a great eye for detail. She joined the team in 2021 and her easygoing and welcoming character blended with the rest of the crew immediately. She speaks English, Greek and Romanian.
Aris was born in Albania in 1971. He came to Athens in 1991 and his love for the sea soon brought him to the yachting industry to work as a deckhand on-board the sailing yacht Eliana in 1998. Since then, he has expanded his knowledge and experience with a few different style boats, from motor-sailers to motor yachts. He holds a Speedboat licence, has a friendly but discreet personality and is an excellent team player.
