Born in 1986, Captain Iakovos is a highly skilled and accomplished mariner, holding a Captain Class B Certificate and graduating top of his class with honors from the Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos. His exceptional academic performance was recognized with the prestigious 2018 Annual Scholarship from the International Propeller Club. Beyond his maritime expertise, Iakovos also holds a Bachelor of Science in Informatics and Telecommunications from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, demonstrating his sharp analytical skills and technical knowledge. A lifelong sailing enthusiast, he possesses a broad range of maritime certifications, including sailing, speedboat, and diving licenses. His professional career spans cruise liners and bulk carriers, before transitioning into the yachting industry in 2019. Since then, he has served as an officer aboard prestigious yachts ranging from 55m to 95m, achieving his first captaincy in 2024. Dimosthenis is a highly skilled and energetic chief engineer with extensive experience across both commercial and private vessels. He brings strong technical expertise in engine room operations, maintenance procedures, and ISM/ISPS compliance. With a “hands-on” work ethic and the ability to perform under pressure, he ensures the vessel operates at peak performance and safety standards at all times. Dimosthenis is a team player and leader, known for his attention to detail, adaptability, and commitment to excellence. Born on April 20, 1992, he is Greek and currently based in Athens. He holds a Chief Engineer Unlimited KW license and has completed certifications including ERM, Medical Care on Board, Ship Security Officer, STCW, Advanced Firefighting, Tanker Safety Advanced, and more. His previous roles include chief and second engineer on luxury charter yachts as well as third engineer on large commercial vessels. Charalampos is an experienced and creative chef with a strong foundation in Mediterranean cuisine and a refined culinary style shaped by years of experience in luxury yachting and hospitality. Now at the helm of the galley on board M/Y RIVA I, he brings a focus on quality, taste, and innovation, delivering unforgettable dining experiences tailored to the preferences of discerning guests. His yachting background includes chef positions on board M/Y WHATEVER, M/Y MAKANI, M/Y PANDION, and M/Y JULIE M, along with a private chef role on the Livanos family’s private island. His culinary journey began in high-end restaurants and five-star hotels such as Sani Resort, eventually transitioning into yachting where he has refined his skills in provisioning, menu planning, and executing diverse, seasonal menus. Charalampos holds a Culinary Technical Degree from the renowned “Le Monde” Institute, supplemented by advanced seminars in sous-vide techniques, fusion cuisine, and French and Italian gastronomy. His calm demeanor, strong organization, and dedication to culinary excellence make him an invaluable asset to the M/Y RIVA I crew. Spyros is a highly skilled and personable Chief Steward, bringing a strong background in hospitality and guest service to M/Y Riva I. Initially joining the yachting industry in 2016 as a Deckhand, he soon discovered his passion for service and guest interaction, leading him to pursue a career as a Steward. With extensive expertise in silver service, fine dining, cocktail mixology, wine pairing, interior detailing, housekeeping, and floral arrangements, Spyros ensures that every aspect of the guest experience is delivered with excellence. His easy-going personality and optimistic attitude create a welcoming and refined atmosphere onboard, making him an invaluable member of the crew. Spyros holds an Open Sailing Diploma and a Certificate in Emergency & First Aid, reinforcing his commitment to safety and seamless service. His dedication to continuous learning has led him to pursue studies in Administration and Economy, further enhancing his organizational and leadership skills. Anna is a reliable and self-motivated stewardess with extensive experience in both private and charter operations aboard yachts up to 50 meters. She brings a calm, open-minded, and highly adaptable approach to her role, thriving under pressure and maintaining excellent service standards throughout the season. Known for her strong interpersonal skills, she is an effective communicator and valued team player in multicultural environments. Born on April 21, 1987, Anna holds Ukrainian citizenship and is a Greek resident. She is fluent in Russian and speaks both English and Greek to a very good level. Her responsibilities onboard have included guest service, housekeeping, laundry, galley assistance, pantry management, and support with deck operations during maneuvering. Rebecca is a hardworking and reliable stewardess with a strong background in housekeeping and laundry service, both on yachts and land-based roles across Europe. Known for her cheerful attitude and ability to work efficiently under pressure, she contributes to maintaining a spotless and welcoming environment onboard. Rebecca is also comfortable assisting in the galley and can prepare basic Greek dishes when needed. Born on April 30, 1980, she is Filipino and fluent in both English and Greek. Her previous yacht experience includes work on M/Y INFINITAS, M/Y D-FORCE, and M/Y URANUS, along with a solid history in private household service and hospitality in Geneva, Switzerland. Giannis is a highly experienced seaman with over a decade of experience in the yachting industry, having worked extensively on both private and charter yachts. Holding a Speed Boat License and a Security Awareness Certificate, he is well-versed in all onboard operations, guest safety, and water sports activities. His love for the sea began at a young age, leading him to pursue a career on the water, where he has honed his expertise in deck operations, mooring, anchoring, and water sports supervision. With his enthusiastic and proactive attitude, Giannis is always ready to assist guests and ensure they have an unforgettable experience on board. Passionate about water sports, he takes great pride in introducing guests to exciting activities while prioritizing their safety. Whether it’s tender driving, snorkeling, or setting up beachside experiences, Giannis ensures that every charter is filled with adventure and enjoyment. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, traveling, and snorkeling—a true reflection of his connection to the ocean.
