Captain Kostas is a highly skilled and experienced seafarer, holding a Captain’s Certificate Class A’. Born in Greece, he has had an illustrious career in both commercial and luxury yachting, gaining expertise from working on private and large luxury yachts, as well as passenger ferries. His career began as a Chief Officer on merchant ships, passenger vessels, and container ships, where he developed exceptional navigational and leadership skills. Later, he transitioned into the luxury yachting industry, where he has commanded 40m+ yachts for many years, perfecting the art of tailor-made yacht charter experiences. Beyond his professional achievements, Captain Kostas is a passionate sailing athlete, having won multiple Greek national awards. His deep knowledge of the Mediterranean and Greek Islands, combined with his enthusiasm, professionalism, and attention to detail, ensures that guests onboard M/Y Timbuktu receive an unforgettable cruising experience. He works closely with guests to curate personalized itineraries, ensuring that every need is met with precision and care. Holding a Certificate of Ship Security Officer, as well as First Aid, Fire Fighting, and Life Rescue certifications, Nikolaos is exceptionally well-prepared to handle any technical or safety-related challenges. His problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure make him a valuable leader in the engine room. Passionate about working in a team-oriented environment, Nikolaos ensures that all onboard systems and equipment are fully operational and maintained to the highest standards. Chef Giannis is a highly skilled and passionate culinary expert, bringing a refined touch to the dining experience onboard M/Y Timbuktu. A graduate of IEK Delta as an Art Cooking Technician, he has perfected his craft in some of Athens’ most prestigious kitchens, including a 1-star Michelin-awarded restaurant as a Chef de Partie, and as a Sous Chef at the Luxury Collection Hotels GB Roof Garden restaurant. With extensive knowledge in Greek cuisine, Chef Giannis masterfully blends fresh ingredients with bold Mediterranean flavors, creating dishes that delight and impress even the most discerning palates. His expertise in planning, preparing, and plating ensures that every meal is a culinary masterpiece, whether it’s a refreshing Greek-style ceviche or a traditional dish with a modern twist. Beyond his culinary skills, Chef Giannis is known for his creativity, organization, and impeccable cleanliness in the kitchen. Holding a Speedboat Operator License as well as a Security Passenger & Bosun Certificate, Dikaia brings both professionalism and versatility to her role. Dikaia is known for her warm personality, attentiveness, and ability to anticipate guest needs, ensuring that every charter runs smoothly and effortlessly. Whether handling table settings, personalized service, or guest requests, she is always attentive, professional, and dedicated to exceeding expectations. Kristiyan is a motivated and adaptable steward with experience on a 95-meter charter yacht, where he honed his skills in interior cleanliness, galley utility, and crew support. Detail-oriented and organized, he ensures that crew and guest areas are immaculately maintained, and he thrives in a high-pressure team environment. His background also includes assisting with deck operations and technical support, making him a valuable all-rounder onboard. Born on July 25, 2000, Kristiyan is Bulgarian and based in Athens, Greece. He is currently completing a degree in Port Management and Shipping at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Kristiyan has completed the Golden Yachts Silver Service Seminar and has experience in both service and hospitality through previous shore-based roles. Panagiotis is a highly skilled and dedicated Bosun, bringing over a decade of experience in the yachting industry. Holding a Life-Saving and Fire-Fighting Certificate as well as a Speedboat License, he ensures that all deck operations, mooring, and water sports activities are executed safely and efficiently onboard M/Y Timbuktu. Since beginning his career in 2011, Panagiotis has worked on several prestigious yachts, gaining valuable experience in deck maintenance, tender operations, and guest assistance. His enthusiastic character, strong work ethic, and ability to work seamlessly with the crew make him an essential part of the team. As a team player who thrives in dynamic environments, Panagiotis is always ready to support his colleagues and provide guests with an exceptional yachting experience. Aris is known for being active, reliable, and a true team player, always eager to assist his crew members and enhance his knowledge. His hands-on approach and problem-solving mindset ensure that all deck operations, mooring, and water sports activities run smoothly and safely. Passionate about life at sea, Aris enjoys sailing, fishing, and various water sports in his spare time. Spyros, born in 1975, brings a strong educational and technical background to M/Y Timbuktu, holding a Certificate of Higher Education in Business from the University of Wolverhampton. In addition to his academic credentials, he has obtained multiple maritime certifications, including Life-Saving & Fire-Fighting Appliances, Personal Survival Techniques, Security Awareness, Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats, and a Powerboat License. Driven by his passion for the sea, Spyros enthusiastically joined the yachting industry, eager to explore new adventures and provide guests with exceptional service. As a certified diver, he plays a key role in assisting guests with water sports activities, ensuring that their time on board is both exciting and safe. With a strong work ethic, team spirit, and love for the ocean, Spyros is a valuable crew member, dedicated to making every charter experience unforgettable.
