Thailand’s Similan Islands make for an incredible destination for a yacht charter. Open from 01 November until 30 April year the islands are renowned for white coral beaches, crystal blue water, tropical warm nights and cool sea breeze.
Our recommended itinerary is as follows for this experience:
Day 1: Ao Po Marina, Phuket
Join your luxury yacht for the night at Ao Po Marina, located in North East Phuket.
Day 2: Nai Harn
Depart Phuket, bound for Naï Harn where you will anchor for the first night. A quiet little spot at the southern end of Phuket, Naï Harn is one of the island’s most beautiful locations and a popular place with locals. Offering great swimming between November and April, local restaurants just above the beach also make a great place to relax with a sundowner of your choice.
Day 3: Ben Thap Lamu
Make your way to Ben Thap Lamu, a beautiful all-weather anchorage which is the perfect coastal stopover on the way to the Similan Islands. The anchorage is an enclosed river estuary, flanked on the eastern side by a small village and the Thai Navy Base. Enjoy your beautiful surroundings as you prepare for your Similan adventure.
Day 4 – 7: Similan Islands
Arriving at the Similan Islands the next four days will be spent exploring this special part of the world. The Similan Islands consist of nine uninhabited islands as well as some of the best scenery in Thailand. Completely unspoiled, there are no resorts or stores on the Similans. and the area is home to some of the best diving and snorkelling in the world. Although beautiful above the waves, it is the underwater world that the Similans offer that make them so popular with visitors and perfect for a yacht charter. With a huge variety of marine life, you will have opportunities to see rare and endangered species. Above water highlights include the picturesque huge boulders that scatter across the western and southern shores of several of the islands. Huge numbers of deserted white sand beaches only add to the overall picture, with easy access for day trips or a beach picnic.
Day 8 & 9: Ben Thap Lamu and Naï Harn
Return to Phuket, via Ben Thap Lamu and Naï Harn once again, enjoying the warm waters and beautiful beaches that are on offer along the way.
Day 10: Ao Po Marina, Phuket
Bid farewell to your yacht and depart with memories of a lifetime.
