60 years offshore and coastal cruising and racing in New Zealand, Britain, Canada, Pacific Islands, and Mediterranean. Owner of 9 cruising and/or racing keelboats from 30' to 45'.
Former flag officer of Royal Port Nicholson (Wellington, NZ) and Royal Suva (Fiji) yacht clubs and former national administrator. At various times I have been self-employed as a yacht broker and agent and sales consultantfor Hood Sails and their spars and rigging associate, Yachtspars.
I sail with my wife of 45 years who has shared in a lifetime of sailing. We are in our early 70s and are physically fit.
We currently spend 3-4 months on board each year, but would make our Jeanneau 37 'Bobby Shafto' available for two or three months of the available 6 months of NZ summer cruising in return for spending NZ winter months sailing in northern waters - particularly SW Ireland, Western Isles of Scotland, & New England.
Bobby Shafto is a 3 cabin version of the Sun Odessey 37, She is fully found and equipped for extensive coastal cruising and living aboard. One can get a good idea of her layout and amenity from this video of a sistership https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbW7qSeMesE
