Depart from Tuscany and leave for a trip to admire Corsica, the Island of Napoleon that is only a short journey away from the home port
The Marina of Macinaggio is located at the end of Capo Corso. If you are coming from North you should pay attention to the NW drift of the Finoccharola Islands. It is sheltered by the winds coming from the West (Maestrale and Licebeccio) and from South-East (Scirocco). Because of strong winds of NE, it is a fairly wavy harbor. Mooring in the bay and behind the pier has sandy bottoms and poseidonia meadows.
Macinaggio is surrounded by beaches, three small coves to one km south, and north, to two km away, there are the beaches of Tamarrone and, to 4km, that of Santa Maria, then the Reserve of Capundula, belong to the “Conservatorio del Litorale”, which you can walk through the “Sentiero del doganiere”. It is a true paradise for nature lovers.
The port of Saint Florent, set just at the end of Capo Corso, the “finger” of Corsica, is rather small but well-organized, with distributor in the dock on the north pier. It has a delightful but narrow waterfront and city center organization is captivating, some days moored will go fast and fun, especially in the evenings, between bars, restaurants and clubs of all kinds.
The coast is beautiful and wild but absolutely devoid of secrets and completely exposed to the Maestral.

The Ile Rousse marina can accommodate 250 boats, 85 of which for transit. A large pier of about 200 meters long is off the coast the reserved area for pleasure is located southwest of the pier near the fishing area.
On the quay there are all services. The town located about 1 km offers technical and mechanical assistance, grocery stores, restaurants and hotels.
In rough sea conditions, pass to the offshore of the islets of Brucciu and Piana, located north of the island, paying attention to a unmarked rock located in the Southeast of Piana Island. At night the lighthouse on the Isola della Pietra indicates the route to follow through its white sector.
Ille Rousse is the other seaside resort on the coast Its name comes from the red porphyry rocks of Isola della Pietra, north of the city. It is very pleasant to stay in the shade of centennial planes tree in the Paoli Square or play the <> on the Great Place decorated with dates palm trees.
Inside, a multitude of balconated villages are as many hiking destinations in unspoiled nature. Tips: take a tour of the “21 column market”, take a stroll along Marinella’s seafront and list the artisan coffee shop. Also to see Bodri beach.
Sailing southwest, you will arrive in Calvi. The town has its own charm: harbor, citadel, privileged location and beautiful beaches. The impressive Genoese citadel, the cheerful and varied streets, the tall city with a sense of security and serenity, and finally a beach with pine trees. The port has 180 berths reserved for transit and it is equipped with all services.
Do not miss the nearby beach of Saleccia.
Wonderful gulf with beaches, but only for a stop, it is not recommended the anchoring, as there are many currents.
We suggest the stop at Macinaggio before the return sailing to the base.
